  Advanced Team Tennis

  Team Type: Mixed and same-gender doubles tennis for four hours once a month on Sunday mornings. THIS SIGN UP IS FOR ADVANCED TEAM TENNIS players rated 4.0 and 4.5 (please visit the other Event registration page for Traditional (3.0-3.5) Team Tennis).

  Players per Team: 8 players per team, 4 teams  (32 players)

  Schedule: Sundays 9am-1pm on April 27, May 18, June 22, July 20, Aug 24, Sept 21 and Oct 19.

  Fee: $55 for the season (seven months of play & includes game balls, prizes, light snacks)

  Play Format:

  - Teams will be determined based on ensuring a fair balance of rating among the four teams

  - Captains should be able to draft/pick players from those registered

  - Each player will typically play one Mixed match and one Same Sex match on that day

  - Pairing and court assignments will be determined by the captains ahead of the event. For Advanced Team Tennis, you will either play the 9:00-11:00 shift, or the 11:00 -1:00 shift (depends on your team lineup on any given week). Everyone in the league plays in every match.
  

  - Registering after the first 32 slots (16 of each gender) have been filled will put you on the waitlist, which will also serve as a Substitution list in the event we have a need for players throughout the season. 

  Expectations & Responsibilities:

  - Captains are responsible for determining line-ups, sending email reminders to those playing, and finding subs for cancellations.

  - Captains should be able to draft/pick players from those registered

  - All club leagues are social tennis gatherings with no pressure and a great way to play in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Social tennis can satisfy members’ desire for competition while keeping the focus on fun. An important part of the fun is remembering to treat other club members with respect and courtesy, on and off the court. Good sportsmanship is the standard the San Carlos Tennis Club expects everyone to meet!

  Traditional Team Tennis

  Team Type: Mixed and same-gender doubles tennis for four hours once a month on Sunday mornings. THIS SIGN UP IS FOR TRADITIONAL TEAM TENNIS players rated 3.0 & 3.5 (please visit the other Event registration page for Advanced (4.0+) Team Tennis).

  Players per Team: 8 players per team, 5 teams  (one team per month gets a bye. These players will be asked to sub on the other teams, as needed, that month).  

  Schedule: Sundays 9:00-1:00pm on 4/13, 5/4, 6/8, 7/13, 8/10 or 9/14, 10/12
  

  We would love for you to sign up, but PLEASE SIGN UP ONLY IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ATTEND (nearly) ALL OF THE DATES. Absences disrupt the level of play, as teams are formed based on individual skill level.

  Fee: $45 for the season (six months/once per month)

  Play Format:

  - Teams will be determined based on ensuring a fair balance of rating among the four teams.

  - Each player will typically play one Mixed-match and one same-sex match on that day. Exact matches will be determined by the Home captain.

  - Pairing and court assignments will be determined by the captains ahead of the event. For Traditional Team Tennis, you will either play the 9:00-11:00 am shift, or the 11:00 -1:00 pm shift (depends on your team lineup on any given month). Everyone on each team plays in every match.
  

  - Registering after the first 40 slots (20 of each gender) have been filled will put you on the waitlist, which will also serve as a Substitution list when we have a need for players throughout the season. 

  - Indicate if you are willing to serve as captain for one of the five 8-member teams during registration.

  Expectations & Responsibilities:
  

  - Captain are responsible for determining monthly line-ups, sending email reminders to those playing, and finding subs for cancellations.  A list of possible subs will be provided.
