SCTC Tax Day Tournament - Saturday, April 15th (Morning Session)

• This morning session of this fun tournament is open to players at the 2.5 - 3.5-rating levels and is limited to 8 men and 8 women - all matches are mixed-gender. If you have a partner, let us know during registration -- otherwise we will match partners based on level. The registration fee is ONLY $15.00 (online payment only). Enjoy a friendly competitive match, make some new friends and enjoy the drinks, snacks and camaraderie. 

• • Tournament check-in at 8:45 a.m. (morning session) at the Arguello courts.
    
  • Match play commences promptly at 9:00 a.m.
  • Each mixed duo will play all three rounds of tennis
    
  • Rules for each round/set: best of eight games; No-ad scoring; five point sudden-death tie-breaker at 4-4
  • Handicapping will be used in matches where there is a mismatch in levels: for every 0.5 difference in rating, the lower-rated team gets two virtual 'bisques' at the start of the set that can be redeemed to automatically win the next point any time during the match.

  • Tournament fee includes light refreshments, beverages, water, and match play with tennis balls.
  • No need to bring a partner! Partners will be assigned by us (you may also indicate one if your partner is also registering and mentions you).
  • Open to all SCTC members aged 18 or over.
